As a professional fiber artist for the past 23 years whose degree was in Biology and whose previous career was scientific, I believe in the strong connection between art and science. I honed my observational and creative problem solving skills while developing new methods for raising walleye in hatcheries in the 1990s. These are the same skills I use today in my own creations.
The natural world is so strange and wonderful that it is a fun challenge to create our own wild variations.
